Nickel Alloy C-276, Hastelloy® C-276

Hastelloy® C-276, which is also sold as Nickel Alloy C-276, is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium wrought alloy. Hastelloy C-276 is perfect for use in situations that demand protection from aggressive corrosion and localized corrosion attack. Nickel Alloy K-500, Monel® K-500

Special Metals popular Monel K-500 is a unique nickel-copper superalloy and offers many of the benefits of Monel 400, but with strength and hardness. These improvements are due to two main factors:

● The addition of aluminum and titanium to an already robust nickel-copper base adds strength and hardness
● Material strength and hardness is further enhanced through age hardening

Nickel Alloy L-605

Nickel Alloy L-605, which is also sold under the brand names Cobalt® L-605 and Haynes® 25, is a solid-solution, cobalt-nickel-chromium-tungsten alloy. Nickel Alloy L-605 is known for a number of unique properties including:

● High-temperature strength
● Good resistance to prolonged exposure to oxidizing environments up to 1800°F (980°C)
● Excellent resistance to sulfidation
● Great ductility, plus good forming and welding characteristics
● Resistance to wear and galling


Nickel Alloy X, Hastelloy® X

Also sold as Nickel Alloy X, Hastelloy® X is a popular and effective nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy. Nickel Alloy X and Hastelloy X offer users a wide range of principal features. These include:


● High degree of oxidation resistance up to 2200° F ● Outstanding high-temperature strength
● Easily fabricated including forming and welding
● Good ductility after prolonged exposure at high-temperatures
● Good resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking
● Resistant to carburization and nitriding
● Develops a protective oxide film that does not spall off
